I went to Dartington to revisit the Landworks Project. It was wonderful to return to see the progress that is being made. I think the model of trainees working with volunteers in the local community, who are able to share their skills, is a brilliant way to help people feel part of their community, rather than risk being cut adrift when they leave prison. These are local people, from Devon, and it's in everyone's interests to reduce reoffending by provide the skills, support and means to help them in that crucial period after they leave prison. There were some compelling accounts of success in helping people to turn their lives around.
