Shoalstone Pool

Shoalstone Pool is one of a few outdoor seawater swimming pools remaining in the country and was built on the site of a natural rock pool that people used for bathing in 1896. In 1926 the Pool was altered to more or less the same shape as it is now. The Friends of Shoalstone Pool work tirelessly each year to ensure the pool is available for use during the summer months and today saw the pool reopening in all its glory. Thank you to Mark Portwood and all the volunteers who make this possible.
